[dropcaps style=’square1′ background_color=”]W[/dropcaps]working with kids is not as easy as you might think.  But it’s certainly not as difficult as you might think.

I’ve had the privilege of working with teenagers since I was a teenager myself.  I was hired at the age of 19 to work with a group of Middle and High Schoolers in a tobacco prevention program called Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) in North Florida. [blockquote width=’25’]

“I was blessed to have a mentor who saw something special in me…”

[/blockquote] I was blessed to have a mentor who saw something special in me, and saw the ability within me to connect with other kids (I was a kid myself!).

Over the last decade + I’ve had the opportunity to work with some really AWESOME kids.  Some kids who were shy. Kids who were outrageous.  Kids who wanted to conquer the world.  Kids who had no idea what they wanted.  I’ve worked with kids who didn’t know who they were, or who they should be.  I’ve worked with kids who had more maturity, passion, drive than most adults.

As much as I love what I on the business side of things (running a non-profit is fun believe it or not), my favorite part of the job is still, working with teenagers.

If you are a teen, or know a teen in the north florida area, and have a specific interest in media (photography, videography, social media, print media, graphic design, web design… blah blah blah) then be sure to contact us. [social_icons style=’white’] youtube,http://www.youtube.com, vimeo,http://www.vimeo.com, facebook,http://www.facebook.com [/social_icons]
